Red Cape Photography is a professional photography studio where we create art and a finished product will be admired and appreciated. Our studio time, private commission, and sessions are well planned out with the right staff members. Following your booking and receipt of your session retainer fee, we will complete a consultation and planning meeting. The consult and planning meeting allows for us to get to know each other and understand your goals and interest for your session. We will plan the overall look and feel of your photos, discuss time frames to meet your needs to receive your final products, and optional services needed including make-up artist, hair stylist, studio versus on location photo shoot, theme, goals, likes and dislikes. We want your photography experience with Red Cape to reflect your personality and be something that you feel appreciate for years to come. Consultation and Planning
Make a list of questions that you have about session and bring them with you or email them to Red Cape in advance of your onsite. Typical questions that we will require with you include photography experience expectations, outfit options and preferences, lighting styles, make-up versus natural look, hair styles and options, jewelry, studio versus on location photo shoots, indoor versus outdoor, level of photography (i.e., Fashion/Glamour, Boudoirs or Lingerie Shoot, Private Commission adult or erotica), comfort zone and questions about experience, timing, and product offerings.
Red Cape Boudoir or Lingerie Session typically last about three-four (3-4) hours, including hair and make-up. This is plenty of time to create a beautiful hair and make-up look (or two) and photograph you in several different wardrobe options and backgrounds, but still short enough time not to completely exhaust you. See options for spa and message options within our fee schedule (these are worth it afterwards because you will use muscles and body positions that you are not interested in and it is not uncommon to be tired or desire a message afterwards).
Pricing for Red Cape is based on length of session, desired photography products being purchased (i.e., Hard Cover Book, Digital CD, Portrait, etc.). Little Red typically recommends between a 2-3 outfits is standard with a maximum of 5 wardrobe looks and a maximum of 2 make-up looks for best results and optimal productive photography session. Note that more is not always better.

Creativity & Approach
Little Red often tells her clients that if you come and are open minded, she would bring you creatively the rest of the way. Initially when you are starting a photo shoot there is always a warm up period where you get used to the camera, yourself and having the photographer in the room. Within a very short time your comfort zone complete changes as you relax, you personality starts to come through and soon the camera and photographer are just part of the experience in a single process and barriers typically relax as the session flows into different positions, movements, and ideas are explored. It is okay to throw out a photo that is why we take more multiple shots that we can see the process and pick the best photo that is displaying the perfect moment. Even studio photography is about a story, a body movement, and the photographer will work with you through a series of either conversations or mini scenes to help draw out your personality, your best movements and positioning that will support the theme and nature of your photography session.
A Red Cape Boudoir or Private Commission session is designed to be the best photography experience you’ve ever had. I am skilled at making women feel comfortable in front of the camera (even when half naked or fully nude) and I’ve coaxed genuine expressions from even the most nervous clients, so there is no need to worry. You’ll be in good hands with us. I’ll show you poses and angles that will flatter you the most and be your coach and cheerleader every step of the way. There is no experience required, whatsoever, to look and feel beautiful and get amazing pictures. All you have to do is treat me long enough to gain that comfort zone and creatively I will take you the rest of the way.
As a female photographer I know what women want. We want to be portrayed in a fashionable way that portrays our beauty and sexuality in a feminine not masculine way. We want to look smoking hot, but not like we’re trying to hard. We want to be heard, understood, appreciated, and we want to capture the essence of our personality, and to feel genuinely beautiful inside and out. The balance is we can be all of the above and it is okay. I don’t believe boudoir, lingerie, and erotica is bad or evil in any way and it is quite a spiritual and liberating experience that every women should complete. I vowed to help those women in the center that day and I have been helping women see themselves differently ever sense in my studio.

Styling & Prep Advice
During the consultation and planning we will have a change to talk about your concerns, expectations, and preferences. We will make suggestions for looks that would suit your style and body type particularly well. We will give you suggestions for where to shop and what works well in a session versus items that may have limitations during a specific photo shoot session.
Be creative ahead of time and find pictures you like that inspire you, positions you like, magazine styles you like, lingerie that you enjoy you enjoy. These help with fine tuning the theme mood and direction we will creatively strive to target during your session.
Additional Do’s/Don’t such as, no tight clothing or bras up to four (4) hours before the photo shoot, etc., will be explained to you during your consultation and planning session.

Make-up and Hairstyling
Red Cape uses extremely talented professional staff and we have an approved list of make-up artist and hairstyles in multiple states that we have worked with and understand the high level of quality and camera ready look that is expected.
Depending on your theme and approach the appropriate make-up artist and hair styles may be assigned, for example: a high glamour and very artistic shoot will be assigned different team members for a very natural playboy style photography theme. Whether you want something modern, hit, transitional, fashion forward, wild, we can ensure your make-up and hair are perfect for the session.
Investing in the experience is making the investment for these services as well. If you elect to have complete your own make-up suggestions will be discussed during your consultation and planning.
Image Viewing & Product Ordering
One to two (1-2) weeks after your Red Cape Photography Session, you will come to the studio for your viewing and ordering appointment. I will show you the preferred or best images of yourself. This is always a fun and it never ceases to amaze me how touched women are to see themselves looking so beautiful. After the initial presentation, we will go through the images one by one (usually 30-40 images total) and have a good long look at each one. Following this process, Little Red will help you determine which products and presentation options will suit you best, based on the images we’ve created, your goals for the shoot, and within your lifestyle (i.e., do you wish to have a portrait for a wall or a private book for your memories). We offer a range of beautiful photographic albums, soft or hard cover books, framed prints, canvases, and other products all designed to allow you to relish the experience for years to come.
Red Cape completes a professional magazine quality retouching on all of your best images included with every photography session. I do not believe in drastically altering your appears, body type, and I genuinely think that my clients are perfectly beautiful exactly as they are. That being said, any small changes to any bit of your body that is discussed during your viewing such as a scar, mole, bump(s), corrections that appear due to wardrobe or posing will be modified as agreed. I will also support cleaning up the things that can’t be otherwise helped that drive you crazy, whether it is cellulite, wrinkles, bruises, stretchmark, etc. All will be discussed. We have no desire to change who you are, your body type, correct your teeth from not having braces, etc. lets talk about in your session!
